The 'Frequency House' Poetry Video Prize 
2022

The 'Frequency House' Poetry Video Prize 2022 is currently open. The first prize is £100. The winning poetry video will be featured on our website and shared across all of our social media platforms. We recommend all entrants read the rules carefully before entering.

RULES: GENERAL

​

1. The competition is open to all age groups. International entries are welcome;

2. The closing date of the competition is midnight (UK time), 31 July 2022;

3. There is no limit on the number of entries a single entrant can make;

4. Under no circumstances can alterations be made to entries once entered;

5. The competition organisers reserve the right to change the judging panel without notice and not to award prizes if, in the judges’ opinion, such an action is justified;

6. The judges consider all the entries; their decision is final. Neither the judges nor Frequency House will enter into any correspondence.

RULES: POETRY VIDEOS 

​

1. The poetry video must be no more that 2 minutes in duration;

2. The author must own full copyright to their work and video;

3. The content of the video must not breach any copyright;

4. Any video content that is included in the entry that derives from any other source, person or site must enable the user/entrant full licence for their own commercial use. The responsibility for securing full commercial use of any content rests with the entrant - and payment and entry into the competition assumes that these conditions have been met;

5. All poetry videos must have a title and poets name clearly marked; 

6. Entries can be on any subject;

7. Words and audio must be in English.

8. Poems must be the entrant’s original work;

9. Entries must not have been published, self-published, published on a website or made public on social media, broadcast or featured among the winners in another competition before 31 March 2022;

ENTRY FEE & VIDEO SUBMISSION: 

​

1. Entry fee is £5.50 payable by PayPal or Bank Transfer (details on request) - please clearly mark the payment 'FH PVP 2022';

2. Entrants must upload their poetry video to YouTube and then e-mail us the link (frequency_house@outlook.com).

RULES: WINNERS

​

1. The Winner will be notified by the end of September 2022;

2. The Winner will be expected to provide a biography and photograph;

3. All entrants who provide a valid email address will be notified about the outcome of their entry by the end of September 2022;

4. The copyright of each entry remains with the author. However, authors of the winning pieces, by entering the competition, grant Frequency House the right in perpetuity to publish and/or broadcast their piece. Use of the pieces elsewhere for one year from September 2022 is subject to permission from Frequency House.
